2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Highlight: Nissan Mixim Concept

2007 Frankfurt Auto Show Highlight: Nissan Mixim Concept. Nissan's Mixim concept may never make it to market but it shows that all-electric cars are being taken increasingly serious.

The Mixim features a lithium-ion battery pack and two "
Super Motors"—one for the front axle and the other for the rear—that give it all-wheel drive. The 145-inch, three-passenger Mixim is light—only 2,100 lbs—and sleek, with a raked, aerodynamic exterior said to be inspired by a crash helmet. Among its many flourishes are dramatic scissor-style doors and dashboard features controls that look like they came off of a video game.
